Super Bowl Sunday

I have to be honest I'm glad and sad about Sunday. Love the Super Bowl, but I'm sad that it will be the last football game of the season. What's left now. Besides that I'm a Cowboy fan who am I going to cheer for in the Super Bowl. Packers they're the enemy, Pittsburgh already has one more ring than us. Oh well.......

Wondering what it takes to win a Super Bowl. Historic coach Vince Lombardi had a few tips for those desiring to pursue the process. He believed winners had 5 specific traits.

1. Great Desire
2. More Discipline
3. More Determination
4. Great Character
5. Great Sacrifice

Not a bad list for believers as well.

Who are You investing In

Catching up today on facebook and came across a great article by a good friend of my from Texas. He mentioned the ability that some people have to make others feel special. Great thought and something I can learn from. He lists the following skills to think about when meeting with others.

1. Learn more than you teach.

2. Listen more than you talk.

3. Add more than you take.

4. Care more than your cared for.

The 5%

They say (whoever they is) that only 5% of the resolutions you make for the new year will actually stick. Looking back over the past years I probably agree with that stat although I hate to admit it.

If it is true then that lead me to think. Ummm what is the one thing I really want to stick this year.

I've decided that praying with my spouse every night is really the one thing that I want to do. It used to be a habit, used to be something we did every night before we dosed off but we quit somewhere along the line, but I hope to resurrect the practice and resume it this year. My wife loves it, and it speaks volumes to her. So that's the 5% I hope will stick.

How about you.
